Thunderstorms moving in from the northeast?

Our unusual weather pattern is bringing an area of thunderstorms into the area that had their origins in west-central Wisconsin. While it's rare to see thunderstorms effect the area from the east, most of those times involve storms moving in from the southeast, not the northeast. Even MORE rare is having a maintained area of thunderstorms effect us all the way from the Great Lakes.

The heaviest thunderstorm activity will remain across NW MO and NE KS, but the metro area should see some showers and t-storms as well.
