TORNADO WATCH until 11PM

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has issued a Tornado Watch for much of eastern KS and western MO until 11PM. Large hail and damaging winds are also possible.

The weather setup continues to be more favorable for severe thunderstorms. A line of storms have developed across central KS and now exist in a north/south line through Topeka. Additional storms are beginning to fire off ahead of the line, thanks in part to a few peaks of the sun. That sun has allowed temps to quickly warm into the upper 70s, aiding to instability. Outside of descrete thunderstorms ahead of the line, storms will likely begin to roll into the western edges of the metro area around 5:30-6pm.

As always, stay in touch with local media and/or NOAA Weather Radio for possible warnings.
