Thunderstorms holding off until this evening

It looks as though we have developed a substantial convective cap that will further prevent thunderstorms from forming this afternoon. I expect thunderstorms to develop this evening as better upper-level wind support rolls into the area. The 15z RUC keeps the thunderstorms just southeast of the metro area, but I have a feeling that storms may extend up into eastern KS as the dryline and warm front ignite. There is still a ton of wind sheer, as evidenced by the linear rolls we saw in the clouds this morning. Severe weather is still a possibility, but it's a much slighter chance than across southern and central MO overnight.
