Second band of snow on its way

Most areas picked up a quick 1 to 1 1/4 inches of light snow this afternoon as a leading wave associated with our Alberta Clipper moved through. The warm front has passed through the area and temperatures have warmed close to 40 degrees in some areas. The main part of the storm system is progressing down the Missouri Valley right now. We can expect another round of moderate snow should move in before midnight. Accumulations should be less than a half inch. The main item of note with the storm system will be the strong winds behind the cold front behind the clipper. Wind gusts of 50 mph are possible and already being reported in Nebraska.
