Mid-Afternoon Update

The first thunderstorms are firing along the dryline west of a ICT/SLN line. These don't even look that impressive right now. We've scoured out the clouds all the way to KC now, so there will be a few hours for the lower atmosphere to destabilize. The main jet streak should begin plowing into the area around the between 5 and 7 o'clock, so we'll have to see if this results in additional development in the warm sector, and if it will help mix the dryline east.

Right now, I'm planning on meeting up with my chase partner at 4pm and we're looking to set up shop SW near EMP or Ottawa and make adjustments when needed. Personally, I'm siding more on the northern side, while Jared is siding to the south were there may be better low-level shear this evening. I just hope we get to see something before it gets dark....
